First off, if you are reading this, THANK YOU!
Starting a new business in this day and age is hard, and I’m extremely grateful for the loyal followers I’ve acquired thus far. And to all of you fellow anglers, hunters, adventurers, and thrill-seekers…….ROCK ON!!! This life is not a trial run. It’s all we get, so make the most of every day!!
I grew up in Central Florida near Tampa Bay in a big, Sicilian family, with whom I am still extremely close. I was always an outdoorsy kid, a total Tomboy, and they couldn’t keep me out of the water, or keep shoes on my feet! I never could figure out “what I wanted to be when I grew up” because I had zero interest in all of the conventional careers. Especially the ones for women. I always wanted more. I KNEW there had to be more. I tried to fit into the molds of the world but never could find fulfillment in any of it. As I aged and made my way through several different careers, it only worsened. I knew there had to be a way to have a career and make a living that was “out of the box”. I craved adventure. I longed for the ever-fleeting adrenaline rush. Nothing else could satisfy me.
Having spent countless hours on the water and on boats, and that being where I was truly happiest, I took the plunge and got my captain’s license. I was able to get my 100 GRT license, which opened more opportunities for me than I had ever imagined possible. Since then, I have been at the helm of the most amazing boats, traveled to dreamy places, caught tournament-winning fish, and met unforgettable people. I have been humbled by these life-changing experiences.
Time, hard work, and dedication have led me to where I am now. I have my own charter fishing business, Salty Cowgirl Charters, I’m a proud member of the Pink Ladies AtlasTrax Fishing Team, a salesperson for Performance Marine Solutions, a weekly guest speaker on the Fishing in Florida Show, and working with several other outstanding partners. I am honored and LIFE IS GOOD!!
AND….. to all of you adventurous, outdoorsy ladies who prefer camo to formals, fishing gear to jewelry, clean faces to make-up, and a nice hidden bush to a posh bathroom! This website is dedicated to YOU! Live your dreams, ladies…… and never let them make you think you can’t!
